Tell me what you’d like to have in your dream home and the styles you like and I’ll turn your dreams into construction blueprints. You are the designer to whatever extent you wish to become involved in the design process. View preliminary drawings, make revisions and get exactly what you want. Your house plans will give your builder and his sub-contractors a picture of what is to be built and allows them to provide you with an accurate estimate of building costs. I will also work with your local engineer to satisfy your local building codes and building permit requirements.
The average cost for a custom home plan is usually less than 1 percent of the construction costs. The national average cost of professional design services is 7 percent (excluding the land and utilities). Design fees for the average set of house plans are approximately $1.50 per square foot of useable living area. Smaller homes and vacation cabins cost about $1.00 per square foot and larger luxury home plans with numerous design features can cost as much as $5.00 per square foot. The cost of printing multiple set of plans is additional. You can also receive your custom home plans in digital format that can be printed at your local large format digital printing service and save on shipping costs. Check your local yellow pages and your plans can be sent as an email attachment directly to your digital printing service.
